Looking costs nothing

With no wallet configured the plugin still answers from live capacity and real prices, and spends nothing.

Spending has a ceiling

Add a wallet and two limits apply. Spend is written to disk before the money moves, so a restart does not hand back a fresh allowance, and two clients pointed at one wallet share one ceiling.

In Claude Code the wallet is requested at install and kept in your system keychain, never in a settings file. Every tool that can spend asks before each call. The wallet balance is the only limit that survives a bug in everything above it, so fund a dedicated wallet with what you are willing to lose.
